SDG Watch Africa is a nongovernmental organization dedicated to tracking, informing, and advocating for the comprehensive implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across the African continent. Our mission is to ensure that Africa achieves these global goals by 2030 through high-level advocacy, youth inclusion, public enlightenment, and joint action.

Monitoring and Advocacy
At the core of our mission is rigorous monitoring of the progress of SDG implementation in Africa. We provide timely and accurate reports on the advancements and challenges in achieving these goals, ensuring transparency and accountability. Our high-level advocacy efforts are directed towards influencing policies and practices at all levels of government to align with the SDGs. We engage with policymakers, stakeholders, and the general public to foster a collective commitment to sustainable development.

Youth Inclusion
We believe that the future of sustainable development lies in the hands of the youth. SDG Watch Africa prioritizes youth inclusion by empowering young people to take an active role in the implementation of the SDGs. Through capacity-building programs, leadership training, and participatory platforms, we ensure that the voices of Africa's youth are heard and their contributions recognized.

Public Enlightenment
Public awareness and engagement are crucial to the success of the SDGs. We conduct extensive public enlightenment campaigns to educate communities about the importance of the SDGs and how they can contribute to achieving them. Our initiatives include workshops, seminars, media campaigns, and community outreach programs designed to foster a culture of sustainability and collective action.

Joint Action
Collaboration is at the heart of our approach. SDG Watch Africa brings together a diverse range of stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, CSOs, the private sector, and local communities, to work towards common goals. By fostering partnerships and facilitating joint action, we ensure that efforts are not duplicated, resources are optimized, and impacts are maximized.

Partnerships and Alliance
SDG Watch Africa is leading a groundbreaking effort to unify non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other civil society organizations (CSOs) across the continent. Our goal is to create a cohesive Alliance of Civil Society Organizations that is dedicated to holding the African Union (AU) and its member states accountable for their commitments to the SDGs. This collaborative initiative aims to amplify the voices of civil society, enhance the effectiveness of advocacy efforts, and ensure that the AU and its member states are on track to meet their SDG obligations. Through strategic partnerships and alliances, we are building a strong network of committed organizations that share our vision for a sustainable and prosperous Africa. Together, we are stronger and more capable of driving the change needed to achieve the SDGs by 2030.
